Rate Monitor Calorie

Has anyone used the Powerglove Heart Rate monitor by Impact Sports?

I want to get a heart rate monitor that also shows calories burned. I found this one online, but was skeptical because it doesn't use a chest strap. I don't want a chest strap, so this seemed perfect. I just want to get some feedback before purchasing.

I also want to tell you that lots of people have an irregular heartbeat and don't know it. It's something that is not dangerous and doesn't affect your health, but if you have an irregular heartbeat, a heart rate monitor won't work for you (it will start beeping wildly because it can't get an accurate reading!) This has happened to me and 2 other people I know. It might be worth it to have a doctor or nurse give a quick listen to your heart before you spend $60-$100 dollars on a monitor that you won't be able to use! Most likely, your heartbeat is normal, but $60 is a lot of money! My montior is in my dresser drawer right now collecting dust :-(
