Gravity Inversion
How do you use inversion boots? (Gravity boots)?
I have been looking at exercise equiment lately, and I am wondering about Gravity Boots-- How do you get into them and hanging upside down? How do you get out again without falling on your head? Is there some safety protocol I should know about like always having someone in earshot? I've heard they are the absolute best way to work your abs, is that true?
These came and went when the "Damage" to knee joints and hip joints became a "Big" issue.
Back in the day you would put up a "door way" chin up bar and hook the boots over it and hang. This was to decompress the spine,In a manner of speaking to un-do the effects of gravity, etc.,on the spine.
The only healthful way to do this is to be suspend yourself from the "hips" Not the feet or ankles.
You may want to consider getting a "Slant Board" for a few dollars, big help for the ab work out you are looking for and no stress or strain on any joints.
After a work out it folds in half and slips under a bed or behind a door.
"Don't hang by your ankles! Your knees will never be the same!"
