How could i manage to do indoor track and still get good grades? ?

Okay so heres the deal. Im doing indoor track from now till the end of february and my grades are starting to drop in some of my classes, like Physics, Spanish , art , and Algebra1. Im trying my best to keep up but im slowly slipping down. Im also having problems with my art teacher. Whenever i ask for help she says firgure it out on your own. Im a freshmen in high school and i would think that she would help me. What should i do? i need serious help.

You need to prioritize!!! Make yourself a schedule and stick to it. As a former 4 year Varsity Letter winner to two sports and 3.5 student I know all about this. No matter what, your grades MUST come first. I doubt track will get you a job later in life so you must focus on grades first. If you don't set up a plan now then by the time you are senior taking AP classes, well you won't be able to get into AP classes because you had no plan as a freshman :) Make use of the study halls offered in school and focus on work there, then depending on what time track practice is hit the library for an hour to get more work done. Then devote another hour after practice. Honestly if you have more than 3 hours of work a night (or it takes you more than 3 hrs) with that schedule then you might need tutors or you will have to quit track because your attention and focus aren't there for the academics.
