I would take the personal trainer myself. A treadmill is rather useful but nothing you can't find a gym or even get by just running outside. However, the information you can get from a personal trainer (especially for 6 sessions) will give you a MASSIVE stepping stone to getting on track with your working out.
Each has their pros and cons, but I would personally see myself getting more benefit out of the personal trainer's advice and assistance than a treadmill (that I could go use at a gym).
