What's a good, sturdy, quiet mid-priced treadmill or other exercise machine?

I'm looking to find an exercise machine that costs $400-$800 and want something quiet.

You should stay away from brands such as Edge (disposable units), Nautilus (product recalls), and ICON brands of products (quality & noise issues).
